Sigma Beauty's makeup line is expanding rapidly. The latest release of 2015 is the Sigma Structural Lashes™, a mascara collection that is due to be released to the public on August 17th, 2015. We have been very pleased with Sigma's makeup and accessories line this year and can't wait to try and review this Sigma Structural Lashes mascara collection.



The Sigma Structural Lashes mascara collection boasts a smudge-free, flake and water resistant 13-hour wear accompanied by nourishing vitamin B5.

Sigma Ethereal Radiance Launches Dec 3, 2014

Sigma's Ethereal Radiance collection launches tomorrow! This launch with include a transformtive makeup collection and brush set. Sigma Beauty's newest makeup collection is filled with color-shifting neutrals, duo chrome brights and glam glitter. The collection will be available to be purchased at sigmabeauty.com.

The brush set is priced at $76 a set. Loose shimmers and glitter sets are $30 each. Shimmer creams are $16 each. Lip switches are $14 each and lip bases are $12 each. More details, photos and swatches will be available soon.

Sigma Extended Wear Eye Liner Pencil July Release

Keep an eye out for a new Sigma makeup release next week. More information will be revealed on Monday, July 8th. Many readers are speculating that the new launch will feature the long awaited Sigma eyeliner pencils (previewed in last September's sneak peak look).

From the look of the preview photo, these eye liner pencils will come in many different shades. So far, we see Flirt, Declare and some of the other eyeshadow colors in the preview. Of course the actual released products could vary drastically from these previewed shots shown by Sigma last year. We won't know for sure until next week's launch. Check back early next Monday for the real updates.

We've seen Sigma eyeliner pencils at work from the Resort Palette (review here). From what I've experienced with the duo ended Resort Palette eye liner pencil, Sigma eyeliner pencils were creamy, long lasting and a great pleasure to work with. Let's hope they keep it up for the upcoming release.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Urban Decay, recently bought by L'oreal, has just released their Naked Basics eyeshadow palette. The Naked Basics by Urban Decay is their first completely matte palette, featuring six Naked neutrals shades, including four never-before-seen shades.

The Naked Basics Palette (retails $27.00) is light, compact and comes with a large mirror. Add a quality brush to this palette and it could be the perfect travel companion.

This palette includes six eyeshadow colors:
Venus – soft, off-white demi-matte
Foxy – very light yellow/beige matte  
Walk of Shame – very light pinky nude matte
Naked2 – rosy taupe matte
Faint – warm, dusty brown matte
Crave – deepest, darkest brown/black matte
Naked Basics Palette is available from Sephora, ULTA, select Macy’s stores or online at Sephora.com, ulta.com, macys.com, beauty.com and urbandecay.com.


My biggest complaint with Urban Decay's Naked 1 and Naked 2 palettes was that they were way too shimmery. This palette is the polar opposite in terms of glitters, but I can't help but wish a more glowing highlighting shade was included.

Sigma Defining Eyes Palette Release (November 26, 2012)

The Sigma Defining Eyes Palette by Tiffany D ($55.00) was released on the Sigma website today. Unfortunately, it was released after the Black Friday sale so international readers lucked out on the free shipping deal. Fortunately, Tiffany released coupon code that takes $6.00 off the palette: TIFFANY. I can't say yay or neigh to this palette yet as I just bought myself the Sigma Defining Eyes Palette. I will try to do swatches and reviews soon! (You can check out Tiffany's blog for some lovely photos and swatches.)

Sneak Peek: Sigma Beauty Eye Liner Pencils (and Makeup Giveaways)

This 2012 year has been quite successful for Sigma Beauty. They came out with new brushes, makeup (Paris Palette) and skincare products. They are now on their way to opening a new physical store in MN. The 2013 year will be an even more interesting time. For starters, take a sneak peek at my these glorious Sigma Eye Liner Pencils (public released data TBA).

These eye liner pencils will come in many different colors. I hope to see more vibrant colors added soon. These eye liner pencils will be tested for longevity and quality. You can expect great things from Sigma's new line of makeup. I'll update you with reviews and pictures when it gets closer to the release date.

Sigma started out selling only Sigma Brushes but has since expanded to include makeup, skincare, and other beauty products. I can foresee a future in which it truly competes with the MAC and other makeup brands.

Sigma is expanding their Sigmax Collection this July 11, 2012. They will be releasing the Sigmax F88 (Flat Angled Kabuki) and the Sigmax P88 (Precision Flat Angled Kabuki). These brushes are angled like the F84 and P84, but flat like the F80 and P80. The best of both worlds? Maybe. Lime Crime Makeup Aquataenia Palette (July 5, 2012) - Preview and Swatches

Sigma Beauty plans to release their Sigma Beauty Expert Brow Design Kit, a 15-brow-essentials-in-1 set on Monday, July 23rd, 2012. The kit will retail for $69. The kit includes give different brow powders, a duo brow gel, two duo brow pencils, a duo brow brush, scissors, tweezers, brow stencils and a sharpener. The entire kit is contained in a convenient, portable box with a mirror. It is lightweight and easy for travel.

Sigma also plans to expand their best selling Sigmax Collection. The synthetic fibers will remain the same (thank goodness), but the shape and designs will be completely original. Watch this space for exclusive news, photos, reviews and updates!

Sigma Brow and Lashes & Angled Brow Review

Sigma has recently released two new brushes, the Sigma E75 and Sigma E80. I've shared the preview info on Twitter before, but now it's time to release the full review. I think many of us have been anticipating the release of these brushes for quite some time now. Sigma has always offered a plethora of affordable quality brushes. They have been loved for making their versatile professional brushes available to the public. Anything professional makeup artists had the advantage of using, Sigma made accessible and affordable to every day people. It hasn't been until recently, however, that they've developed the most needed brow brushes. And it's about time. Eyebrows are one of the most important features of the face, yet often the most neglected.

Sigma Performance Eyes Kit (March 5, 2012)

On March 5th, Sigma Beauty will be launching the new Performance Eyes Kit. The Performance Eyes Kit consists of eight new makeup brushes and was designed for precise application of liquid, cream and powder products onto defined areas of the eyes. These brushes, perfect for detailed and defined makeup application, are essential for creating elaborate professional makeup looks.

Sigma's Premium brush sets now comes with a new professional carrying case. It's similar to the case used for the Sigma Extravaganza Complete and Face Kit. (See my past reviews of the Extravaganza Kits and Collections.) I'm glad to see that Sigma has started to produce more of these cases because they're really wonderful! I feel a little like a makeup artist elitist toting around these luxurious brush cases. I hope that Sigma will sell these cases separately (and for an affordable price) eventually.

Finally, Sigma has reduced the weight and size of their eyeshadow palettes. If you remember my Sigma eyeshadow review from earlier last year, you'll know that the palette lost some heavy points for their bulky packaging. I'm just glad that Sigma took everyone's advice and reduced the size. It could save us the trouble and some shipping fees too.

Sadly, I already bought a few of the "bulky" packaging so I'm stuck with them for now. These new slim designs do have me salivating a little though. Finally, something I can carry in my handbag for convenient travel.

Iris Apfel for MAC, MAC Naturally (January 5, 2012 - February 9, 2012)

Another year, another opportunity for MAC to release their always-coming limited edition collections. I've begun to grow tired of their (sometimes rather rushed) releases, especially since they always pick my favorite items to "limit" while adding the less-than-loved items to the permanent collection. I won't be covering all MAC releases - partially because there are so many, but mostly because Christine from Temptalia makes a point to post these details ASAP anyway. (It's better you hear from her promptly than my lazy self.)

Despite the complaints, these collections look pretty appetizing. Not sure I'll have any money left after the holidays to splurge on the goodies, but I'll probably pick up a lipstick or two (or four). Their MAC Naturally collection speaks right to me.

I think MAC has gone a little overboard emphasizing their water-based technology - whatever that may be. Whatever it is, they sure make it sound revolutionary for what is probably just a different filtration method with added minerals.

Sigma Extravaganza Face Kit ($210) launches today

The Sigma Beauty Extravaganza Face Kit is an assortment of hand-crafted brushes with 18 karat gold-plated ferrules. The face kit features four 18K gold-plated brushes and a deluxe carrying case.

Due to a shipment delay, my photographs and full review of the Extravaganza Face Kit won't be up for another few days, after I've tested them thoroughly. On the bright side, the Extravaganza Complete Kit is being released on the 19th, so potential buyers might want to wait a bit to read up on that before deciding whether to snag the complete sets or not (one shipment = cheaper shipping).
