Give the Gift of Beauty to Others and Yourself
Whether you're looking for presents to gift friends and relatives or something to treat yourself this holiday, beauty products are the way to go if indulgence is your top priority. Here are a few holiday gifts many beauty lovers would enjoy.
Nothing screams festivity more than daringly red lips. Modernize the classic red this year and go matte. Brand name or drugstore, red lipsticks are always stylish. Great matte reds of this season include MAC Russian Red ($14.50), NARS Vesuvio ($25), and Revlon Really Red ($5.00). Or if you are going for double the price, half the matte, but all of the gorgeous, don't miss out on YSL Rouge Volupeté in Red Muse ($34).
The dry winter weather calls for more lotions and lots more moisture. And who doesn't like to indulge in fancy lotions? If you are gifting moisturizers, avoid generic drugstore or Walmart brands that are too easily accessible. Instead, opt for an effective, yet chic lotion such as a Bliss Lemon+Sage Moisture Cream ($6-$79) or MuLondon Organic Lavender Moisturizer ($11-$20). Many moisturizers are also sold in complete gift sets so you can treat yourself from face to toe.
Speaking of gift sets, how about a gorgeous eye shadow set for your dearest? MAC has recently released their Ice Parade Snow Globe Eye Shadows ($38), which includes six new eye shadows. You can even pick from cool, warm, or sultry. Or if you are looking for more colors for a little less, try a Sigma Eye Shadow Palette, specially wrapped for the holiday. A true gem this season is NARS limited edition Douceurs de Paris Palette ($55.00), which includes earthy neutrals and floral hues that makes it the "perfect amalgamation of delicate shadows, shimmering accents, and deep colors."
