Beauty without Cruelty Nail Polish and Lipstick Review

Today I continue with the natural trend. For over 40 years, Beauty Without Cruelty has produced ethical and cruelty-free products that are made with natural, safe ingredients. All BWC color cosmetics are fragrance-free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Beauty Without Cruelty Attitude Nail Colors in Summer Sky ($16.95)

Beautiful sky blue color shown here with two coats.

Made in the UK, this polish applies smoothly with just a single coat. The formulation, as with all BWC nail colors, is without toluene, phthalate and formaldehyde. It dries surprisingly quickly, perhaps one of the quickest drying polishes I have ever tried. Did I mention it is long lasting? This polish has been on my toes for over two weeks with no chip.

Beauty Without Cruelty Moisturizing Lipstick in Coral ($14.95)

Smooth and moisturizing.

This moisturizing lipstick contains vitamin E and apricot kernel extract, making it a truly non-drying lipstick. It applies very smoothly. I wouldn't exactly call the color coral because it is a little more red than coral, but it is a lovely color nonetheless. It applies beautifully and can easily be built to a deep color.

  1. I love hearing about all of these new environmentally friendly brands you're into. Thank you for sharing Kath!

  2. its great to know that there are comapanies that are dedicated to remaining cruelty free. it's just really unfortunate how expensive it seems. $16.95 is a lot for a polish, especailly one that's so basic.

  3. Kaitlyn,
Yes, I've been trying to be more health conscious since a little health scare a few months ago. =/

I agree that the price is very high. It seems that until more companies are willing to make cruelty-free products, the cost for ingredients and such things will remain high. The same is true of organic foods, sadly.

  4. The nail polish is expensive, but the lipstick is not poorly priced for a natural lippy.

  5. Alexis,
I feel like polishes are always valued less than lipsticks (even by me) - but really, you get more uses out of polishes! :)

  6. i have tried one kind of sticker named minx recently, it is very good, easily apply and look fantastic. it is the right products for holiday! It save your time to make it!

  7. The blue is a very pretty colour! I have never even heard of that brand. Being in Canada, perhaps we dont have it here. I have found that polish lasts a long time on my toes as well ♥
