Some Beauty Favorites

I've put together a collage of some of my current beauty favorites.

I have been searching for a good night cream for some time now. I don't think I've found it yet. Currently, I dab some Kiehl's Cryste Marine Firming Serum on my forehead and expression lines and then apply Neutrogena's Light Night Cream all over my face. Since I am quite young, I don't know if the serum is actually doing anything, but I think the lines near my cheeks and mouth are less noticeable now.

I know there must be something better than the Neutrogena light night cream though. It moisturizes pretty well for the night, but I would like something with some sort of enhancement. You know, one of those things that not only moisturizes and repairs your skin, but also magically smooths out your face and gives you that perfect baby glow. Because I don't suffer from an acne problem, I want to venture out to find something amazing.

I have these obvious expression lines on my forehead when I raise my brows or make a face. I wonder if there is anything that is made for that. Any recommendations? I am also looking for a good eye cream that prevents/reduces fine lines. What is your skincare routine like?

  1. my skincare routine is really simple. i use facial wipes to take off my makeup, then i wash my face with whatever facial wash i have, then i put toner and i moisturize. :D

  2. I don't use anything on my face at night but I have seen on youtube that you can try Kiehl's eyecream with avocado and it works really well

  5. Thanks girls. I have heard about the Kiehl's eye cream too. I think I may give that a try. And Lily, I'll check out Lush products :)

Haha Donna, they are my favorites but I don't always stock up. I change up my make up a lot so I don't really use anything up haha

    Thanks for the recommendations guys!

  8. Oh my goodness, this is my favorite topic. Dior anything is the best.. I'm totally dedicated to Dior foundation--I like the airflash the best, but it's $60 and doesn't last me very long. Therefore, I've been resorting to the liquid foundation, which is $44 and lasts much longer. I also LOVE that Urban Decay primer potion--works wonders! I have yet to find an eyeliner that doesn't smudge at all . . . let me know if you know any magic answers to that one!

And OPI is where it's at. My current fave is Pop of Poppy. :)

  9. Claire, you should definitely try out Stila's Smudge Pot if you haven't used it before. As an eyeshadow, it does not crease and as a gel liner, it does not smudge. I definitely recommend it.

  10. omg--what's so funny is that I HAVE a Stila smudge pot, but I've never tried it as eyeliner (only blended on my lids)!! I'm totally gonna try it pronto--thanks so much for the tip!

  14. Very nice collage!
Maybe you could try the antioxidant range from Neutrogena if you are in the US where they actually have plenty of different lines (unlike here in the UK...snif). If you haven't hit your thirties I would wait to try the one with retinol though. Once you're skin gets used to it you won't see a difference!(or at least that's my experience)

  16. to nourish + fill out lines - try a specialized serum underneath your moisturizer and a primer before your foundation. If you're looking for milder, one-step treatment, I'm using La Roche Posay's Cicaplast as a primer (on Lisa Eldridge's recommendation), but it's really a post-procedure recovery lotion so it's pretty moisturizing at the same time.

Hope that helps! I'll probably do a review soon on the Cicaplast if you want to check that out before you spend your money =)
