I am going to be doing a quick review of my perfume "collection" today. As you will soon see, I am not much of a perfume person. I only own a few that I use year after year. I tend to grab whatever is at hand.
1. Calvin Klein: Eternity, CK One, Obsession and Escape
2. Chanel: Chance
3. Chanel: Coco Mademoiselle
4. Rue 21: Revert Eco
5. Tommy Hilfiger: Tommy Girl
Someone gave me a Calvin Klein perfume set last Christmas. I love this kit because I can just put one of those 1.5 oz bottles in my bag and go. I have to say that of the four bottles in the kit, I only use Escape. It is not like I don't like the other ones, but I just never get to them. I don't use CK One out of sheer laziness. I like the smell, but it does not have a spray. I am not really sure which of the other scents I prefer. They are all pretty light and wearable.
I love the Chanel Chance. I have to say that it is one of my all time favorite perfume. The smell lasts forever. It has a strong but subtle scent. I think it's quite classy so I like to wear it out at night.
To be honest, I haven't even opened Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. I have tried the scent and love it. I just don't want to unwrap it before I use up the Chanel Chance. I will give a more thorough review next time around.
Rue 21 Revert Eco smells a bit like grass, but much more pleasant. As advertised, it has a natural and light kind of scent. I use this for casual hangouts or going to class. It's just perfect for those days when you want to smell nice, but are not actually dressed up. Let's just say I think it goes well with my sneakers.
Oh, I love the Tommy Girl perfume. I have used it for years and I still love it. I think it's a very buildable scent. You can spray a little for everyday use or spray a lot for a stronger effect. It is a mix of classical floral and citrus aromas. It's fresh and clean like Spring mornings. This is my go to perfume when I am going out during the day but not exactly running to class.

:) I was just editing my perfume collection post :) Have just smelled eau tender, not sure if I like it though
ReplyDeleteI never smelled Tommy girl but as I like other perfumes you talk about I'm curious what it's like?
ReplyDeleteI think it has a very crisp and clean scent, a classic. Not quite flowery or citrus, but almost... like spring. It is a little sweet, but light.
ReplyDeleteI hope that helps. :) I am no good at describing scents. They just all end up sounding the same.
Wow, I have yet to try eau tender. Is it much different from the original?
I am looking forward to reading your perfume post. I can get the scent so much better when other people describe it. For myself, I pick things up and say, this is sweet or hight or heavy. It's like I only know so many words.
I have Chance as well but I can't decide if I like it or not. I so desperately want to LOVE the Chanel perfumes but they're not quite right for me, it's SO sad...
ReplyDeleteHave you tried the Chance eau tender that SkyBlueDream mentioned? I hear it supposed to be a bit of spin off of the original Chance. More floral or so. I have not tried it for myself, but maybe that will be more to your liking.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if it's gonna help, as I noticed that a lot of perfumes completely transform with my body chemistry, I think the flowery part in it really took over the original Chance's notes
ReplyDeleteI love Chanel perfumes. I have the coco mademoiselle but I LOVE CHANCE.
