Nvey Eco Eye Shadow and Lip Lustre Review and Swatches

Nvey Eco is a certified organic makeup brand. As I've always been a huge fan of Nvey, I was really excited to have the opportunity to review some of their products. I bought their Erase Corrector a few years back and it remains the only concealer I've ever hit pan with. It conceals amazingly, covering blemishes and even bruises. But on to the review at hand...
Nvey Organic Eye Shadows without the pot. (Full size single compact costs $25.00/each)

Nvey Organic Eye Shadows in Pale Silver White (161),  and Espresso (155), Copper Bronze (158)

Finely milled with an extra soft base of corn silk and jojoba oil, these Nvey eyeshadows also contain chamomile, vitamins A, C, and E to make for a smooth and soft formula that is excellent for dry and sensitive skin. The eyeshadows are vibrant, very smooth, definitely not dry or cakey, and amazingly pigmented. The lasting power without primer is average for a high end shadow but easily lasts 10+ hours with a primer.

The pictures on the website really don't match the actual color very well, so be careful if choosing your shadows online. Copper Bronze has a slight olive tone in real life.

I adore these eye shadows, but find that at $25 a piece, the eye shadow singles are very expensive. If you want to try Nvey shadows, I would recommend getting the Eye Shadow Palette, which contains 5 eye shadows for just $63. It's still not cheap, but significantly less costly.

Nvey Hydrating Lip Lustre in Temptress ($25)

The hydrating lip lustre is a dual purpose lip color and moisturizer, enriched with organic elements and orange essential oil. It is non-drying and long-lasting. I used to own this lip lustre in the exact shade (Temptress), but it seems the formulation or coloring has changed a bit. I quite like the change because the color seems really vibrant.

Nvey has also generously offered my readers and followers a discount code for 15% off any full-size product or tools: HMR15 (expires September 22, 2011).

  3. Espresso is a really pretty color.
Wow, 10+ hours without a primer is very impressive! That's probably why they have such a hefty price tag attached.

  4. Amy,
the 10+ was with a primer, but it lasts pretty well without one too. The hefty tag also has a lot to do with it being organic :)

  5. I bought the concealer once because I saw it in a magazine. It was so good and worth the money. Didn't know they also had good eyeshadows... Might have to shop soon
