This sheen mineral blush has an amazing peachy pink glow that is reminiscent of NARS Orgasm blush. It applies super smoothly with both a powder/blush or duo fiber brush. It is well pigmented and stays vibrant for about 6-8 hours. The fine glitter in it caused some fallout after I wore it for 6 hours, but the fallout is small and unnoticeable except when you look really closely in direct lighting. I love NARS Orgasm blush, but have been hestitant to reorder the $27 blush. Snuggle costs only $9 and will probably last me longer than the NARS blush. 🙂
When Everyday Minerals described this blush as “a light taupe/brown with a hint of sheen,” they were really underselling it. Waffle cone gives a beautiful highlight similar to MAC’s Mineral Skin Finish. It’s almost like a bronzer, blush and highlighter combined. It is not just brown: it has a golden specks and a glowing pink undertone. The glitter in waffle cone is slightly less fine than in Snuggle. Unlike Snuggle, Waffle Cone will suit not only light, but also tanner skin.
This pearlescent light brown/tan eyeshadow is very light. It can serve as very natural shimmering highlight for tan skin. I don’t find it very pigmented or long lasting, but it is super pretty when first applied. You can build up the color, but it will cake when applied heavily. This is best for fairer skins.
Good China is a pearlescent light beige color with pink undertones. I received this in the travel size, which is interestingly packaged in a travel tube, not a smaller container. Turns out it is a roller eyeshadow tube! I was a little hestitant at first, but it turns out wonderful. The pigmentation of Good China is superior to Hot Chocolate. I also love the roller eyeshadow, although it can be difficult to make precise applications. You can remove the roller though. I think this is fantastic packaging for travel as far as minerals go. It makes mineral eyeshadows less messy.
“With exotic ingredients that gives you those super soft kissable lips with rich and vibrant color that loves and lasts! A lip conditioning formula with organic floral ingredients: Evening Primrose Oil, Perilla Seed Oil, and Linseed Oil.” It does not give my lips much color, but it is moisturizing and pleasant. I am not sure what to make of the packaging. The tube does not cover all the way to the top of the lippy, so it can easily get nicked if you’re not careful. I think the tube was also designed to be detachable so you can adjust it to finish up the entire tube without wasting any product. A far bit complex for a lippy design, but easy enough to use.
I don’t usually work with minerals because I find them messier to work with, but I do like the way they apply. I feel like I have more control over the color and can easily build up coverage. Everyday Minerals’ travel eyeshadow tubes are less messy than even powder makeup! Mineral makeup also has a longer shelf date than cream and powder – so there is no hurry to use it all up.
Overall, I am impressed with the quality of their makeup. I thought Everyday Minerals was a cheaper dupe of Bare Escentuals, but I now see that Everyday Minerals offers far more than affordable mineral foundation. This is probably the best place to start for mineral makeup. They have affordable prices, high quality and wide range of selection. Don’t forget you can easily use the blush as an eyeshadow, eyeshadow as highlight, lippy as blush, etc. Everyday Minerals makeup can make great alternatives for a lot of higher end makeup. Snuggle Blush, for example, is my new pink blush. I will not be ordering NARS Orgasm again. 😉
