Sigma Spa Solutions Kit Review: Cleansing & Polishing Tools Attachments

This review is for the new attachment heads for the Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool. Click here to read the review for the original Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool.

The Sigma Spa Solution Kit contains three attachment heads for the Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool: Extra soft Brush, Massager and Exfoliator. You can also purchase the Spa Solutions Complete Kit ($59), which combines the Spa Solution Kit ($29) with the Cleansing and Polishing Tool with its three original soft, medium and firm brush heads ($39). If you don't already own the original tool, I would recommend getting the complete kit as it is $9 cheaper and the new brushes make it totally worth the price.

Now, you know my original complaint with the Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool is that even the softest brush head was a little too tough for everyday use. The Spa Solution Kit contains an Extra-Soft Brush recommended for gentle cleansing of extra-sensitive skin. (It is a silicone-based brush.) I definitely agree that this new brush will be good for even the most sensitive of skin. Even when I break out, I can safely use it all over my face without inducing any pain.

The massager brush is supposed to maximize absorption of skin care products and stimulates skin circulation. I don't know how well it really works in that aspect, but I love the massaging feeling it gives! I don't use the massager brush wet. What I do is apply my night cream with my fingers and spread them on my face. Afterwards, I put the massager brush on the Sigma Tool and turn it to a low setting and massage the cream onto my face. I can really feel the cream absorb and I also get a good, gentle facial massage.

The pumice stone exfoliator brush is my favorite brush head in the set. It gently removes dead skin cells to reveal healthy looking skin. It looks a little intimidating at first (because who wants to have a rock rubbed on her face?) but after having used the kit for a few weeks, I'm convinced it works. I usually scrub the pumice stone on my face manually. On days when my skin complexion is especially dull, I turn the Sigma Tool on low speed. I wouldn't really recommend turning it on high speed unless you are exfoliating less sensitive parts of your body (like neck, elbows, etc). Anyway, this brush really gets rid of any roughness and I can literally see a fresh, dewy looking face the next morning.

Sigma Spa Solutions Kit Review Summary
Review by Katherine on March 09, 2012
Product: This kit is versatile and useful. It accompanies the original tool well. I especially like that it includes the sensitive brush I have been looking for.
Application: The variety of product makes it simple to use on the face, neck, body, etc.
Packaging: As with the usual Sigma products, packaging (and shipping) is thorough and sturdy.
Value: The price is great for it's value, especially if you already own the Cleansing Tool.
Overall, I find this tool very useful. I say this even though I also own a Clarisonic Mia. The Mia doesn't exfoliate well enough for me, although it takes good care of clearing out my pores. Despite owning many chemical exfoliants as well as a Mia, I find that the Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool has enough variability and usefulness to justify its cost. The new brush heads definitely make my bath time a spa experience. 5/5

  1. This looks so cool! I really want to try the massager. Would it work as a neck massager?

    1. Yes, it would most definitely work as a neck massager. I use it under my chin, etc.
