  4. G.,
I am not sure of the prices of these new collections as of yet, but Gold on brushes does sound quite expensive. We'll have to wait til release day to see if it's a luxury we can and want to afford.

  5. I was wondering if I could get an idea of the black friday deals for sigma brushes I really need some good quality brushes. I have never tried sigma I have a few mac brushes and I am debating on buying the mac holiday brush set or wait for sigmas black friday sales

  6. Anonymous,
Unfortunately, I don't have the exact details on Sigma's Black Friday deals as of yet. I will update everyone as soon as I get all the information. -- If you are ordering Sigma, you can take an extra 10% off your order (plus free gift with $35 purchase) in November when you use coupon PSW2011 or IN2011 at checkout.

As for whether you should wait for the Sigma Black Friday sale or buy the MAC holiday brushes, that is completely up to you. I would suggest holding out to then to at least see what the sale is. Also, I don't particularly recommend MAC holiday brushes because they are nothing like MAC's regular brushes. They are mass manufactured and put together instead of hand crafted and are much poorer quality. If you are buying MAC brushes, try to stick to their regular ones. They are 100% better than their holiday stuff... That's just based my experience of course.

  7. I've never tried Sigma brushes either. I'm tempted to go for the travel set...I'm interested in the Bunny collection. Do you know if the travel brushes also have the Sigmax HD fibers?

  8. BooBooNinja,
I am not completely certain, but I think that the Make Me Up Travel Edition brushes are just like the regular Make Me Up brushes and are without the Sigmax HD fibers. The Bunny collection (also the collection I am most excited about) is definitely made with Sigmax HD fibers. :)

  9. Actually... I went back to the Sigma website, and while I like the vegan-ness of the Bunny collection, I'm a bigger fan of tapered brushes. I keep finding myself oogling the E45, F25 and F35. I think that the Premium Travel Kit or the Cities Collection (probably NY because I usually go with black or purple) are my best bets.

My eyes are pretty sensitive to rough/scratchy bristles. Which travel set do you think has the softest bristles? (but still perform well).

  10. If you are looking for travel size brushes with tapered brushes, I think the Cities Collection sounds pretty promising - although I am afraid it does not come with any tapered face brushes. The Premium Travel Kit is also great and the bristles aren't rough, although not as smooth as the synthetic bristles. The plus side is that it comes with the tapered E45 and F25. You can always buy tapered brushes separately though.

The softest brushes are the ones with synthetic bristles. The current best bet for extremely sensitive eyes would be something like the Precision brushes.

I will get my hands on the Cities Collection very, very soon. I will try to update you on the softness and quality of the brushes.

  12. Hi Katherine -- thanks so much for your quick response!
I hope I don't sound too much like a "noob", but are the Sigmax HD fibers in the Bunny collection the same fibers that are in the Precision brushes? And are the Sigmax HD fibers the synthetic fibers you mentioned (as being the softest)?

Thank goodness I subscribe to your blog -- I'll be waiting for your review on the Cities Collection *and* on the Bunny collection. I just hope that the Cities Collection won't be sold out by the time I see the Bunny collection.

  13. Cynthia Delgado,
I will update with the prices as soon as I find out. Sigma brushes are always produced the same and put together by hand. :)

    BooBooNinja,
The Sigmax HD fibers in the Bunny collection are in fact the same as those found in the Precision brushes and the Sigmax kabuki brushes. And yes, they are the softest of all the brushes I've used. :) And thank you so much for subscribing.

I appreciate all the comments. I'll try to buy at least a few spare of the limited edition collections so I can host giveaways for readers. ;)

  19. Hey! thanks for sharing :3 Do you know if the brushes that come in the bunny collection are the same from make me up? I really loved the idea of vegan brushes, just wanted to know about the quality: is it the same from all the other sigma products? ( I know this question sounds stupid, but I do not know anything about make up brushes at all!)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Anonymous,
The brushes that come in the Bunny collection are different from the brushes of the Make Me Up collection. The Bunny collection brushes are 100% vegan and cruelty free. The brushes are supposed to resemble the premium brush sets, but with bristles are made from Sigmax HD fibers instead of the regular fiber. Sigmax HD fibers are extremely soft, yet pick up makeup really well.

Currently, the only brushes that utilize Sigmax HD fibers are the Sigmax kabuki brushes and and precision brushes. (And these are my absolute favorite brushes.) I can only anticipate that the Bunny collection will surpass the existing brushes in softness and quality. *crosses fingers*

  21. Hmm... if the precision brushes are the best for sensitive eyes... I'm tempted to get them and cut them down for travel. If I could bring myself to do it. ... (please excuse my rambling)

  22. When I saw all these new products Sigma would be coming out with, my jaws dropped. Though I only own the retractable Kabuki brush, that is really all it takes to get me totally hooked on their brushes! Sigh, I would love to own those Make Me Up kits. They are perfect for travelling!
