Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer Review

Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing Eye Primer is a 3-in-1 primer, corrector, and anti-aging product for the eyes. It provides a smooth canvas around the delicate eye area, ensuring crease-proof, long-lasting eye shadow and concealer wear. It is enriched with quercetin and oak extracts to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and to provide softer skin while improving skin texture. The apricot undertone corrects darkness and imperfections on the eyelid and undereye area.

This primer is not creamy and is rather drying. I can't accurately determine if it helps minimize fine lines in the long run (though I cross my fingers and will it so), but it surely doesn't do it in the present. The dryness of the formula actually emphasizes any cracks or lines on my lids. If I don't blend it in completely, there is no way I can apply eyeshadows over it without looking like I am caking up my eyes intentionally.

As a primer, it works well and helps my shadows stick on longer and with a bit more vibrancy. As an anti-aging product, it has done nothing positive for me yet and I already nearing the end of this primer's life expectancy. After just a few uses of the sample-size bottle, the primer either dried up or ran low. It hasn't completely run out on me yet, but I find it difficult to grab a good chunk of primer like I had when I initially used it. Note that I am only using the 0.06 fl oz sample size (though I would not expect too much product out of the original size container either).

A selling point is that this product does a great job of correcting darkness and imperfections in the eye area. I wish the formulation were a bit creamier so I could spread it around a little more easily. The apricot undertone is lovely; and even if you have nothing to correct, it will make a lovely eye base color.

  1. I've tried this too and can't say that it's one of my favorites. I own other dryer primers that I like better, ie the Tarte primer and even the eyeslipsface $1 eyelid primer (which is a similar color to this Korres primer).
    I haven't noticed any anti-ageing benefits yet either! :)

  2. Jenn,
I agree that I prefer the Tarte primer, although the thought of an anti-aging long-term benefit makes me want to stick to Korres. I've tried an ELF primer as well, but my skin didn't agree with it and so I found it a little greasy - plus the top broke off after a few uses! :x

  6. I think that it suits those with golden undertones to their skin.
