If you follow me on Twitter, you'll know that I have been looking into BB (Blemish Balm) creams lately. I've avoided them until now, fearful that they're only over-glorified tinted moisturizers. A few days ago I decided to buy a sample of Lioele Beyond the Solution from Pretty & Cute for $5.00. I used coupon lovelioele for 10% off plus $2.14 shipping which gave me a grand total $6.64. It shipped almost immediately and I got the parcel within two days of buying!
It turns out that the tube is really small! I would have bought the 30 mL bottle, which was 6 times larger for only double the price... I didn't buy it because I didn't want to get stuck with something I might hate or worse - was allergic to. I regret my decision now because my skin rather likes this cream.
Overall, I am rather impressed with Lioele Beyond the Solution BB Cream. It is not moisturizing, but has very good coverage. It is not a light foundation, but still gives me a natural radiance. I love that I can use it as a concealer on top of using it as foundation. This particular cream does not have SPF, so I had to use it over a Murad base.
I've had a good first impression. I think I will venture out and try all the other types and brands before repurchasing. I might buy those sets with several different miniature BB creams.

The packaging is adorable - but there was barely anything in this little fella.
Luckily, freebies came with purchase! Super BB Cream sample and False Lashes.
This only comes in one shade. Why do Asian manufacturers insist on making things in only one size or one color?
The color was lighter and greyish when initially applied, but it darkened and adapted once oxidized. I used it as a concealer and it worked too!
Some eye makeup here. Spots are covered nicely using just Lioele BB Cream!

ReplyDeleteim glad you like it.
ReplyDeletei want to try this someday.
i feel the same way as you felt,
im afraid that bb creams are just like tinted moisturizers or just like foundation.
someday i'll see. hehe~
I love this BB cream too! I bought it for the cute packaging and I'm so glad! Those lashes look really lovely. Nice freebie! Could you please post when you try them? I'd love to see them on.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
I think BB creams have amaaaazing coverage depending on the cream and I prefer them over regular foundations! Lioele's Triple Solution I hear has the heaviest amount of coverage so if you really want coverage, that would be your to go.
ReplyDeleteMSodapop, this one actually isn't anything like a tinted moisturizer. :) Definitely worth a try if you are interested.
ReplyDeleteAmelda, I will be glad to post a picture and review when I try the lashes! :) And when I try the sample BB cream too.
Amyboo, I don't know if I want heavier coverage because I'm afraid it'll cake up and accentuate my dry spots :(
I wish they came in my color
ReplyDeleteToo bad there's no spf! The packaging is so cute!
ReplyDeleteNatalie,
ReplyDeleteYes, unfortunate with the SPF
